What it means: A feature to get alerts when someone posts status updates.
Usefulness: It ensures you never miss updates from close friends.
How it works: Tap the three-dot menu near status. Select “Get notifications” and confirm. You will now receive alerts whenever that person posts again.
Message People Who Aren’t on WhatsApp
What it means: A feature to message non-WhatsApp users through Guest Chats.
Usefulness: It allows limited chats with people outside WhatsApp.
How it works: Share a chat link with non-WhatsApp users. They can reply in Guest Chats, but only text is supported. Media, calls, and GIFs are not allowed.
Verified Instagram Profile Links
What it means: Users can add verified Instagram profiles with badges.
Usefulness: It helps confirm genuine Instagram accounts and prevents impersonation.
How it works: Go to your WhatsApp profile and tap Instagram link. Choose the Verify link, which opens Meta’s Accounts Centre. There, link and verify your Instagram profile.
Restricted Group Invites

How it works: In Group permissions, admins can disable Invite via link. When disabled, new members must wait for admin approval first.
