The Samsung Galaxy S25 Series retains its familiar design. There are improvements to enhance comfort as well as usability. The Galaxy S25 Ultra now features rounded corners instead of sharp edges.
This change makes it easier to hold for longer durations. Its Ultra model also gets a premium titanium backing for added durability. Meanwhile, the S25 and S25+ stick to aluminum frames.
Its display upgrades are equally impressive. The Galaxy S25 Ultra boasts a larger 6.86-inch screen. Bezels are thinner, measuring just 2.3mm, improving the screen-to-body ratio. The base Galaxy S25 will feature a 6.36-inch screen, offering a better viewing experience.
The S25 Ultra offers exceptional brightness at 3000 nits peak. This beats many competitors, including the iPhone 16 Pro’s 2000 nits.
Samsung has also introduced a second-generation Corning Gorilla Armor Glass. It has anti-reflective properties for better visibility in sunlight. Its other standard features are a 120Hz refresh rate, LTPO technology as well as 1440p resolution.
Improved Performance & Camera Capabilities
The Galaxy S25 Series introduces the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Its powerful processor is used across all models globally. Samsung has dropped the Exynos chip due to production issues. The Snapdragon 8 Elite narrows the gap with Apple’s A18 Pro Bionic.

A significant upgrade is the introduction of Qi2 wireless charging. This allows up to 25W wireless charging speeds across all models. It’s a big step up from the 15W limit in the S24 Series. Samsung is also working on a Battery AI feature. This feature optimizes battery life by limiting processor and 5G modem usage.
There are rumors of a fourth model, the Galaxy S25 Slim. This would target users looking for lighter and thinner smartphones. Leaked banners show four models, suggesting its inclusion. If launched, it could compete with Apple’s rumored iPhone 17 Air.
Launch, Pricing & Color Options
The Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event is scheduled for January 22. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Series will be officially unveiled during this event. Sales are expected to begin on February 7.
Pricing details are not yet confirmed, but a slight hike is likely. This is because of increased costs for the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Reports suggest the chip alone costs up to $190 per unit.
Leaked renders reveal exciting color options, including Icy Blue. Official silicone cases and magnetic wireless charging accessories will also be available. These cases include a MagSafe-like ring for easy wireless charging.
