Instagram released a new Friends Tab feature recently. It helps you see what your friends do. The feature is in the Reels section now. You can view what friends like or comment. 

Instagram also added repost and location sharing. These features aim to make Instagram more social. Many users will find it easier to connect.

Instagram Released New Friends Tab Feature in Reels

The new Friends Tab is inside Instagram Reels. You find it at the top of the screen. Tap “Friends” to see your friends’ activity. It shows public posts your friends liked or commented on. 

You can also see recommendations from Blends you joined. This tab makes it easy to discover relevant Reels. To go back, tap “Reels” tab anytime. This way, you control what content you see.

Instagram Released New Friends Tab Feature with Privacy Controls

Privacy is important with the Friends Tab feature. You can hide your likes and comments from friends. Instagram lets you mute activity bubbles from specific people. 

This means you control who sees your activity. You can turn off these settings anytime you want. Your privacy stays safe with these options. Instagram respects your choices and control fully.

Instagram also added repost and location sharing features. Repost works like Twitter’s retweet button. You tap repost to share posts or Reels again. Your reposts get a special tab on your profile. 

Location sharing shows your last active place to friends. It is similar to Snapchat’s Snap Map but safer. You control exactly who sees your location. You can share with close friends or no one. These updates make Instagram more interactive and fun.
