This feature may use Google’s powerful AI models. It can be based on Gemini or Veo 2. Samsung and Google already work together for AI tools. Galaxy S24 had Circle to Search powered by Google. Galaxy AI also uses Drawing Assist and other tools.

The image-to-video tool will be part of Galaxy AI. Galaxy AI already has image creation from sketches. It can also generate images using text prompts. But video creation is a new big feature.

Honor and TikTok Are Also Working on Similar Tools

Samsung is not the only one with this feature. Honor has launched a tool that does the same. Honor’s Gallery app can turn photos into five-second videos. It uses Google’s Veo 2 model for the process.

TikTok has also added an image-to-video AI tool. Their new feature is called AI Alive. Both TikTok and Honor use image animation styles. They animate still images instead of generating new videos. These are more enhancements than real video generation.

Honor’s tool comes with some usage limits too. Users can create only ten videos per day. Also, the tool is free only for two months. The animation may not always look natural or real. Some videos take two minutes to get ready.
